Much of what I post is actually for me. As I learn, I like to share. Many times, we suffer from ignorance (Hosea 4:6.) Being absorbed by society\u2019s to-do list and social media, we find time slipping away. The intended five minutes to \u201ccheck things\u201d turn into two hours. Am I right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If we spent those five minutes (aka two hours) in the word of God to muse on His writings, we\u2019d be more stable in our Christian walk. Read my entry on Musing or Amusing<\/a>. Some time ago I wrote about How much to you believe what you read<\/a>. In this entry, I\u2019ve returned to that subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let\u2019s mediate (muse) on these verses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this love has been made perfect amongst us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement, because as he is, even so are we in this world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n1 John 4:17<\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n As He is even so are we in this world – not the world to come, but here, now, today. Jesus doesn’t have cancer. Jesus doesn’t have a deviated septum. Jesus isn’t hungry. Therefore, we too are free of these thing via Jesus’ finished work. As HE IS SO ARE WE. Do you believe?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speak<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus answered them, \u201cHave faith in God. For most certainly I tell you, whoever says<\/strong> to this mountain, \u2018Be taken up and cast into the sea,\u2019 and doesn\u2019t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening<\/strong>; he shall have whatever he says. Therefore I tell you, all things<\/strong> whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them<\/strong>, and you shall have them<\/strong>.<\/p>\nMark 11:22-24<\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Be Persuaded \/ Convinced<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As it is written, \u201cI have made you a father of many nations.\u201d This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were. Besides hope, Abraham in hope believed, to the end<\/strong> that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, \u201cSo will your seed be.\u201d Without being weakened in faith, he didn\u2019t consider his own body, already having been worn out, (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah\u2019s womb. Yet, looking to the promise of God<\/strong>, he didn\u2019t waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith<\/strong>, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced <\/strong>that what he had promised, he was also able to perform. Therefore it also was \u201ccredited to him for righteousness.\u201d Now it was not written that it was accounted to him for his sake alone, but for our sake also<\/strong>, to whom it will be accounted, who believe in him who raised Jesus, our Lord, from the dead, who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.<\/p>\nRomans 4:17-25<\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Be Convinced <\/strong>which is the meaning of faith – strong conviction of a belief – Isaiah 1:18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind<\/strong>.<\/p>\nRomans 14:5<\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Meditating and speaking the word of God moves mountains. If you have a mountain, speak to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.<\/p>\nJohn 14:12-14<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n If the Ferrari you ask for is for His glory alone, then you’ll get it. But asking for something to satisfy your lustful flesh then it isn’t going to happen, James 4:3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n John 14 is quoting Jesus’ own words. Due to the lack of the power in the “church” many do not believe the word of God. They remain sick, poor, and ignorant. When things get tough, everyone quotes Romans 8:30, but they never seem to quote verse 32.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He who didn\u2019t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?<\/p>\nRomans 8:32<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n All things. Believe the word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here’s the real translation of the Psalm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u200bThe LORD is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing<\/strong>.<\/p>\nPsalms 23:1<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n So many read other versions that say “I shall not want,” but with society’s microwave entitlement thinking, they latch onto “want” (“I want a Ferrari \/ win the lottery!”) which in the Hebrew want <\/em>really means to lack, be without, decrease, be lacking, have a need.<\/em> Let’s return to the word of God for the truth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Much of what I post is actually for me.
