Daniel’s 70th Week

Prophecy isn’t of private interpretation – all the more reason to use them all. When you dismiss Scriptures, you pick and choose according to your limited understanding and that is like telling the Holy Spirit He didn’t do a good enough job with the other verses to matter and be included. I’m just saying it’s “like” saying that. Understand we are putting together a puzzle the Holy Spirit made without knowing what the picture looks like. By leaving out the pieces, your altering the picture.

Here’s a perfect example of understanding scriptures with your brain.

Revelation 8:12 (KJV) And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

Now if you read this verse carefully, you’ll notice that the only way to have the sun, moon, stars, night and day shine a third less, would be if the earth’s rotation is increased by eight hours. Therefore, a day would no longer be 24 hours, but 18 hours long. So horrific will the last days be that Jesus Himself states:

Matthew 24:22 (KJV) And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Let’s go through what the Scriptures say:

Daniel 12:11-12 (KJV) And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

We have a starting point. From the time the daily sacrifices are stopped and the abomination of desolation are 1290 days; but until what? Blessed is he that waits until the 1335th day! So we must apply other verses to interpret this verse.

Daniel 9:27 (KJV) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

So now we have seven years (one week). In the middle of the seven years, 3.5 years, he will stop the sacrifices and commit the abomination of desolation. Now we have a link of one event from two angles: one from the mid-point at 3.5 years and the other from the beginning 3.5 years earlier. Together they make up seven years and 30 days according to both verses. However one must notice that there are two events in both verses: one is the stopping of the sacrifices, and second, the abomination of desolation. Does 12:11 elude to there being a gap of 30 days between them, stopping the sacrifices and then 30 days later committing the abomination of desolation? Maybe.

Scripture implies that the calendar will revert back to a 360-day year again. Daniel prophesied that when the antichrist desolates the temple, 1290 days would pass before the end. Daniel 12:7 and John in Revelation 12:14 speak of time, times, and half a time. Revelation 11:2 and 13:5 speak about the passage of 42 months before the end. Revelation 11:3 says the two prophets will preach for 1260 days, and in Revelation 12:6 , the “woman”, i.e. Israel, would be carried away and protected for 1260 days in the wilderness. If a “time” is a year, then a “time, times and half a time” would be 3.5 years. 1260 days is exactly 3.5 years in a 360-day year, as is 42 months containing 30-day months! But Daniel says from the desolation to the end is 1290 days. I’ll explain this in a bit. Using a 360-day calendar, if you count from 1 Nisan 3.5 years you arrive at 1 Tishri, the day I believe Jesus will return to begin His reign on earth, at the Feast of Trumpets! From 14 Nisan (Passover) plus 3.5 years you get 14 Tishri, the day before the Feast of Tabernacles.

As you can see from reading these verses, the “time, times, and half a time”, 1260 days, and 42 months are synonymous with each other. Revelation 12:6 and 12:14 and 13:5 link the timings together. I believe the order of events are:

  • the covenant signing,
  • then the two witnesses will start off preaching 1260 days,
  • at the end of those days they’ll be overcome by the Antichrist
  • and then the Antichrist will declare himself god and the Jewish Messiah and Mahdi (Muslim’s messiah).
  • It is at this time Jesus warned that everyone was to flee to Petra (for another 1260 days the woman in Revelation 12:6 is Israel, fleeing as Jesus instructed), completing 84 30-day months, or seven years.

This is the completion of the period of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks.

However, we must still visit the 2300 number:

Daniel 8:11-14 (KJV) Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

The “days” translated here is in error, but is in fact in the Hebrew “evening morning” – also implying that the sacrifices start in the evening after the temple is rebuilt (Revelation 11:1-2). In fact even today, the only sacrifice attempted on or near the Temple Mount by the Jews is the Passover lamb. So what do we do with this interpretation of scripture? I believe the answer is just as important as the prophecy of Jesus being in the heart of the earth for “three days and three nights” (Matt 12:40). Do you render it three parts of “days” or do you count three “days” and three “nights” as stated by the Holy Spirit? What’s the difference? Three parts of days can be between 26 hours to 72 hours – a huge swing value. So with the different rendering of day, do we count it as 2300 full days, or is the summation of the 1150 evenings and 1150 mornings sacrifices? So is this 76 months, 20 days (6 years, 4 months, 20 days), or is it 38 months and 10 days (3 years, 2 months, 10 days)? It seems logical to me that there are two timelines in play. One from the time the daily sacrifices cease, and another from when the desolation occurs. What does Scripture say?

Exodus 29:38-39 (KJV) Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually. The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:

Anyone living during the temple days would understand the meaning of “2300 evening morning” as being the two daily sacrifices encompassing 1150 days. This fits perfectly into the 1260 days of the first half of the seven years. A covenant of [false] peace allowing the Jews to rebuild their temple (or tabernacle as in the days of Moses) within 80 days, start up the sacrifices and doing so for 1150 days. Then the Antichrist stops them – probably by blocking anyone from entering the temple area because of the Two Witnesses and their ability to consume anyone that comes against them. Finally after 30 days of stopping the daily sacrifices, the Antichrist prevails and kills the Two Witnesses. The Antichrist enters the temple and commits the abomination of desolation while their bodies lay there for 3.5 days. Jesus says when you see this, flee. Revelation says the woman (Israel) will be protected for 1260 days.

The Breakdown:

  • Covenant signed starting the seven year period Daniel 9:27
  • At the same time the Two Witnesses appear and preach for 1260 days Revelation 11:3
  • 80 days to build the temple (1260 – 1150 days of sacrifices, Daniel 8:14, leaving 110 days left. He stops the sacrifices 30 days before the mid-point of the seven-year period, leaving 80 days to build the temple 110 – 30 = 80)
  • From the stopping of the sacrifices there are 1290 days (1260 + 30 = 1290) until the end, Daniel 12:11
  • 30 days after stopping the sacrifices the Two Witnesses are killed having preached for 1260 days, Revelation 11:3
  • Israel flees to the wilderness for 1260 days – add up the days before and after the abomination of desolation and you have 2520 days or 84 30-day months (or 2 sets of 42 months), Revelation 12:6

The lines on the timeline (left) are proportional to the length of time indicated in the Scriptures. I love it! To see how the Holy Spirit puts all these clues into Scripture, allowing it to be discovered but not without doing some homework. Most people just deny the whole thing and miss the blessings. I look at all this like the back of a tapestry, if we pull on one thread, it may come unraveled. It’s just like creation; there isn’t a knife sharp enough to balance the precise measurements of creation on its edge.

Since all these number revolve around the stopping of the sacrifices and the abomination of desolation, they must all be included in any end-time scenario, otherwise you don’t have a complete picture. With all the numbers revolving around the abomination of desolation, the Antichrist has to be revealed when the covenant is signed “with many” as in the UN, PA and Israel – especially since he rules through a false peace understanding dark sentences. Everyone in the world is crying out for answers from someone. He is alive and rising to power, as I type, I believe. The timeline of the rapture is not known, nor tied to anything except for 2 Thessalonians 2:3-8 below: the Antichrist cannot be revealed until the One Who hinders is removed. Since this is clearly the Holy Spirit, and He being the down-payment of our salvation, we must go with Him. Also, we are not appointed to wrath. Therefore, the only conclusion is that we leave before he comes to power – enough to be able to broker a covenant with many where everyone until then failed. Therefore, in any study, you MUST include:

2 Thessalonians 2:3-8 (KJV) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

I’ve always believed that the Tribulation Period is the full seven years; many say it’s only the last 3.5 years. Let’s go over it shall we? 🙂

We know the Two Witnesses are killed midpoint – they preach for 1260 days and they’re killed, Revelation 11. Then the woman (Israel) is persecuted for 1260 days. The total comes to seven years of 360-day years. The seven years is one week. By the time the mid-week arrives, there are already passed four angels holding back the wind, the seven seals, the thunderings, two woes, and the six of the seven trumpets of Revelation. That’s pretty bad, so much so men will want to kill themselves but death shall flee from them! After the Two Witnesses are killed then comes the seven last plagues in seven golden vials. Daniel 7:25 says that the laws and times will be given to him for “a time and times and the dividing of time” which corresponds to “a time and times and half a time” for the woman (Israel) in the wilderness mentioned in Revelation 12. I suppose the idea that the actual tribulation period is only 3.5 years is from Daniel 12 were he asks – how long – the man replies “a time, times and an half” then says 1290 days from the stopping of the sacrifices. Adding up all these verses, it’s clear the tribulation period is seven years. But as you can see from Revelation, the evil begins right away in the first 1260 days.
