By the Numbers

While I am by no means a prophet, I see the handwriting on the wall. I’ve not written anything in a while, as was pointed out to me by a wonderful person. My excuse is that with so much going on, time is just flying and so are the prophecies unfolding.

Certainly, 2020 will do go down in history books as an eventful year. Looking at worldwide events, here’s how I see “birth pains” as promised – event(s) that affect the world.

In 2001, 9/11 happened and changed the world, the first birth pain. On March 11, 2011, the 9.0 earthquake in Japan, a birth pain, killing 15,897 but polluting the Pacific Ocean with radioactive sewage due to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. In 2018, the USA moved its embassy to Jerusalem, politically freeing Israel after 70 years of political captivity of their capital. Since then we’ve had the CCP COVID virus unleashed, the third birth pain, and in Israel, several peace treaties signed with more to come. Can anyone quote 1 Thessalonians 5:3?

Indeed, 2020 will be remembered more about COVID-19 than any other event (as of the typing of this entry). Personally, I do not believe it’s natural in origin, but honestly, that doesn’t matter, it’s still a judgment for the sins of our nations. More on that in a moment. The results of the infection won’t be immediate death, although the governments and the media would have you believe otherwise. The Spanish Flu of 1918 killed an estimated 50 million people in its 18-month reign, killing people within three days in most cases. World War I helped stop its reign – I’ll let you guess why (hint: 22-25 million died from the war.)

As of this blog entry, almost 47 million have been infected with COVID-19, but just over 1.2 million have died from it; ~2.6%. However, COVID-19 did more to destroy economies than people. Prior to COVID-19 according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for nations was 4.4 in 2018, and today, in October 2020, the world has a negative growth of -4.4. Some countries, like Spain, have negative growth of -13.1 because their economy runs off tourists with a population of just under 47 million citizens with 83 million annual visitors! Due to COVID-19, they’re locked down, Europe is locked down, and the world is locked down. Few if any tourists!

“To put this contraction into historical context, quarterly GDP had never experienced a drop greater than 3 percent (at a quarterly, nonannualized rate) since record keeping began in 1947 (Routley 2020).” Brookings.edu

So where are we on the scriptural timeline? Let’s go to the word of God and see.

Matthew 24:4-8

Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.”

Let’s look at the first part of verse 4, “claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’” The word Messiah just means the “anointed,” so, in your own experiences, there’s been more than 21. Think about all the televangelists or YouTube preachers that say they’re anointed “in Jesus’ Name” and are completely false. However, openly professed “Messiahs” as defined as “saviors” are listed below.

False Prophets:

  • 100-300 AD – 2
  • 301-1110 AD – 1
  • 1111-1899 AD – 11
  • 1900-present – 21

While Jesus said, “you will hear of wars and threats of wars,” but, here’s a list of all the wars in recorded history as of this writing.

Wars:

Range   # of Wars   Span of Years
BC Wars 275   ~4000
1 AD – 1799 AD 1078   1800
1800 – 2020 AD 1683   220

Breakdown of the number of years to reach 111 wars (the total in the 2000s):

Range   Total Wars # years range Year to reach 111 wars
1400s 118 100 94
1500s 156 100 64
1600s 160 100 63
1700s 182 100 76
1800s 590 100 17
1900s 982 100 7
2000s 111 20 20

Notice the dramatic increase of wars! Now look at the total death rate just for wars, and again, it is amazing in the uptick of death from war. These facts show that the one thing we as a people learned is how to kill our neighbors.

Estimates (low) Deaths from all wars in recorded history:

Deaths Range
5,200,000 All of BC
111,000,000 1 AD – 1499
16,200,000 1500s
36,000,000 1600s
3,400,000 1700s
39,600,000 1800s
127,600,000 1900s
2,100,000 2000s

Though I took the low-end of the range of deaths from Wikipedia (i.e., 20m to 25m died in WWI – I took 20m as the count), humanity has killed 116.2 million from all recorded history to 1499 AD. From 1500-2020 (only 520 years) humanity killed 225 million people. These numbers are only those that died because of war and not of disease or abortion. If you include the abortion rates according to the World Health Organization (WHO), 56 million babies are aborted each year, worldwide. Globally, 25% of all pregnancies ended in abortion from 2010-2014. During that same time, 73% of the abortions were by married women.

But the most horrendous statistic is that if I just use the conservative number of 40 million abortions a year and multiply that by 25 years, the world has voluntarily killed 1,000,000,000 – 1 Billion innocent people. In the last 25 years, humanity killed almost three times as many people as all the historical wars combined with 341 million deaths due to war.

Now we’ll go over the next part of the verse, “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” You may or may not know this, but “nation” in Greek means “a race or a tribe” and with the riots all over the world between the haves and have nots, this part of the verse is also happening. Think about it: India vs. Pakistan (kingdom); the USA vs. China (kingdom); the USA vs. Russia (kingdom); USA vs. the USA (nation – i.e. tribalism) (democrats vs. those against them) and everyone currently crying out for civil war. Most of these groups are paid rabble-rousers of George Soros and the left. Then you have the French riots of Muslim vs. non-Muslim (nation) and then you have all those in Africa. Anyone who studies history sees that in the USA, the Nazis won, and the socialists and communists have taken hold of our nation.

So, what’s next? “There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.” The food supply chains are already at their breaking point due to COVID-19. Also, due to the floods in China, they’ve had to import billions of tons of food while lying to their citizens that 2020 had a bumper crop. Then you have the locus that has eaten most of East Africa’s food supply, India, Pakistan, and China also suffering their locus plague. Famines will be a hot topic in the next few quarters. Already, even in America, food banks are short 8 billion meals! If we’re suffering, imagine the rest of the world on the brink!

Next, we have “earthquakes in many parts of the world. ” I went to the USGS site and downloaded all the earthquakes from 1900 to 2020 into an Excel spreadsheet. I then stripped out the fields I didn’t want and kept the date/time and the magnitude. I then created these two charts. The first is the magnitude over the range of time. In fact, I eliminated any earthquake that was below 7.0. By doing this, it ensures that the argument can’t be made that “…seismic equipment is much more sensitive today…” Humans can feel at least 6.0 and above without the need for equipment, and the further they are away from the epicenter shows how strong of an earthquake they felt.

The chart is ok, but not understandable, so I created another chart that shows the trends. Now you can see there is an upward trend of greater magnitude earthquakes by totals. As you can see, the peaks of highs and lows are trending upwards showing that the quantity of quakes is not only increasing but their magnitude as well.

Everyone is waiting for 2020 to end, and what does Jesus have to say about all of this?

“… But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.”

As of this posting, it’s Election Day. I wonder what tomorrow brings.
